Who am I?

Relationships and trust are central to helping people, I adopt a personal approach to meeting the needs of people I work with.

What do I do?

I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, that means I am registered with the BABCP.  To be accredited I had to complete extensive training that involved submission of examples of my clinical work via video to ensure that I met the competency to practice.  I also have to continue to do so to retain my registration status.  

I am also a Course Director at the University of Hull where I train clinicians to be therapists to work with complex problems in the NHS – called severe mental illness.  Hence, I have a broad theory and research understanding that is often helpful within my clinical work.  I have a formal postgraduate qualification in clinical supervision to supervise other therapists.  I also retain professional registration as a psychiatric nurse with 22 years experiences.
